RETTET DAS VINYL - ALL 22 VOLUMES
The Truth about "Rettet das Vinyl"
Everytime I google this I find another person who is taking FALSE credit for this excellent compilation.
No it was not created by a Russian or Polish funk DJ, it was actually created by 2 dear friends of mine Ben and Nobbi aka CommodoreFM and both are from GERMANY, well Ben is a true Funk Lover and Nobbi is a well established DJ and Vinyl collector. Both are friends and here is for once and for all the story about those 22 well put together compilations, I really hate ALL LIARS who take credit for other peoples hard work!
With a big thanks to those two and their permission I will post all 22 VOLUMES!
It started like this from the horses mouth aka BEN:
Nobbi and I met via Ebay where I sold my Vinyl Records. He made a bit on my "Cameo - Alligator Woman" Album. Due to the fact that there where already plenty of bits in he wrote to me. He asked me do I have other Vinyls for sale, to what I said "YES" So Nobbi bought some records from my collection. Due to that we both were some serious Funk & Soul Lovers - and still are- we started to talk about a couple of songs which were still unknown to him and me. Back then I recorded all UNKNOWN songs where I did not knew the singer, hard job because back then I recorded them all from Tape to CDR and then send them to Nobbi. He did the same. He listed and solved all my UNKNOWN songs and because I only had them on tape (over the years plenty of them) I asked him could he please burn them from his Vinyls to CDR. So that is how one by one the collection "RETTET DAS VINYL Vol.1 - Vol.22" was created. So originally "RETTET DAS VINYL" was really my "UNKNOWN SONGS COLLECTION". Nobbi added in between some ideas(songs) on a couple of volumes. You can see that nicely on the back covers when collected and when recorded, Nobbi wrote it on the covers!

Die Wahrheit ueber "Rettet das Vinyl"
Jedesmal wenn ich den Begriff google finde ich eine weitere Person die behauptet diese Kollektion zusammen gestellt zu haben. NEIN, es war kein russischer oder polnischer DJ, es wurde in Wahrheit von zwei Freunden von mir zusammen gestellt. Ben und Nobbi (kennt man auch sehr gut als CommodoreFM, Ben ist ein wahrer Funk Lover und Nobbi ist ein etablierter DJ und Vinyl Sammler. Beide sind Freunde und hier ist die Wahrheit ueber diese 22 Volumen, ich hasse es wenn immer wieder jemand LUEGT und sich den DANK kassieren, obwohl sie nichts zu dieser Arbeit & Schweiss beigetragen haben.
Mit einem grossen DANKE und der Erlaubnis der beiden werde ich alle 22 Volumen hier posten!
Es fing so an, von BEN erzaehlt:
Nobbi und ich lernten uns über eBay bei meinen Plattenverkauf kennen.
Er bot auf mein Vinyl "Cameo - Alligator Woman" und weil der Preis schon relativ hoch war, bedingt durch das Bieten von anderen eBay Interessenten, schrieb er mich an.
Er fragte ob ich weitere Platten verkaufen würde, was ich bejahte.
So kaufte er einen Teil meiner Sammlung. Da wir beide Funk & Soul Liebhaber waren und noch immer sind, kamen wir ins Gespräch über einige Songs, die für mich und ihn noch unbekannt waren. Ich nahm alle mir unbekannten Songs, damals noch mühsam von Casette auf CDR auf, und sendete sie ihm zum Hören. Umgekehrt machte er es genauso. Er löste alle meine unbekannten Songs, und weil ich die ja nur auf Casetten Tapes hatte (und die waren in die Jahre gekommen), fragte ich ihn, ob er mir die Songs von seinen Platten auf CDR Audio brennen könnte. So entstand nach und nach die "Rettet das Vinyl Vol 1 - Vol22" Serie.
Konkret gesagt: "Rettet das Vinyl" ist meine damalige "Unknown Song Collection" und Nobbi's zwischendurch Ideen für ein paar Volumen. Kann man an den Back Covern schön sehen, denn Nobbi hat genau beschrieben wann aufgenommen und wer es zusammenstellte.
Das war die Geschichte...
